Bay Machine and Fabrication was tasked with the complete overhaul of failed gearboxes. Work included opening, cleaning, and fabrication of new input shaft and replacement of all seals, setting of backlash, reassembly, and painting of the units.
Finish: All steel surfaces were sandblasted to a SSPC SP-6 surface preparation. Upon completion of preparation, all steel was coated with two coats of International Paints Anti-Corrosive 300V Epoxy paint in alternating colors also including a stripe coat, followed by a topcoat in International 990HS.
